Abstract. In the article, the theoretical foundations of the concepts of financial and investment potential of insurance companies, mechanisms of formation of financial potential of insurance companies, indicators of their investment potential and factors affecting them are studied in the article. Also, the legal frameworks adopted in the field of insurance and the results of their implementation were reviewed in order to improve the investment environment and accelerate investment activity in our country.
