Abstract. This article presents the results of a comparative analysis of the characteristics of the formation of the tariff policy used in the practical activities of foreign and domestic commercial banks. In addition, suggestions and recommendations developed by the author on improving the tariff policy have been expressed. The concepts of banking products, banking operations and banking services are widely used in the theory and practice of banking. But they are based on the concept of goods. Commodity is essentially the economic form of historically created material values in the form of products and services. Goods and their production occur under certain conditions, that is, during the development of the social division of labor through three major stages, and the emergence of private ownership of the means of production. The main result of the three major stages of the division of labor was an increase in labor productivity. “The concept of a bank product is absent and not used in economic literature, but when considered in essence, the bank does not conduct its operations in the form of ordinary products and services. In fact, the bank manufactures and sells them in the form of goods. This is fully recognized by theory and practice without relevant evidence through the instruments of the commodity-monetary system (market, demand, supply, price, value, production costs, bank income, profit, loss, etc.).

Key words: commercial banks, tariff policy, retail services, macroeconomic factors
