FOREIGN EXPERIENCES OF PROVIDING ACCOMMODATION FOR STUDENTS IN THE HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM

Аbstract. The article examines theoretical approaches to the financing of public higher education institutions and the provision of housing for students in the higher education system. The need to provide housing for students studying in higher education institutions in the Republic of Uzbekistan and create living conditions for students, as well as the organizational and legal foundations are indicated. Today, in Uzbekistan, attention to modern education, reforms in the field of personnel selection, confidence in the future are increasing the interest in higher education. This coincides with the increase in coverage of youth with higher education in the republic. As student enrollment increases in higher education, the need for student housing also increases. Students of the higher education institution note that the main problem that torments them with the beginning of the academic year is the issue of accommodation. In our country, the issue of how to study, live, and eat for students during four years has not yet been fully resolved positively, and there are many painful problems in providing students with accommodation. More parents want their child to live in student accommodation because student accommodation is cheap and safe. The article examines the need for social protection of students studying in state institutions of higher education and the need to provide students with accommodation, the process of organizing affordable and high-quality meals for students of higher education institutions. Theoretical approaches to the financing of the costs of higher educational institutions, the use of PPP practice in the higher education system have been researched. The issues of financing in the Republic of Uzbekistan, building accommodation for students and improving the educational conditions of students studying in higher education institutions on the basis of PPP are highlighted. An attempt was made to scientifically prove the need for housing for students in higher education institutions as an important social issue, foreign experiences related to the topic were studied, and references from the research works of economists-scientists were given.
