THE IMPORTANCE OF STATE POLICY IN THE REFORMS IN THE HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM

Abstract. The reforms carried out in our republic are affecting different sectors at different levels. In turn, these reforms are implemented not only in the economic sphere, but also in the social sphere, these social reforms, in turn, began with education. This article focuses on the analysis of the activities of all state and non-state Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) operating in the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the main purpose of this analysis is to show the degree to which the current reforms are being approached as a solution to the current problem. Also, this article focuses on the analysis of the number of state, non-state and private higher education institutions operating in the republic, students studying in them, and professors working in these higher educational institutions. The reforms carried out in our republic are affecting different sectors at different levels. In turn, these reforms are implemented not only in the economic sphere, but also in the social sphere, these social reforms, in turn, began with education. Currently, reforms in the field of education are one of the important indicators of economic and social development. For this reason, the first reforms of New Uzbekistan implemented in our country began to be implemented in the social sphere, especially in education. For example, we can see the construction of about 70 new schools, the increase of pre-school coverage from 27% to 70%, and the increase of the coverage level of higher education institutions from 9% to 38%.
